Choosing The Best Skin Care Line? Don't Forget The Cardinal Rule Of Skin Care.

By Peter Albertonach

So you're looking for the best skin care line. And that's fine, it shows that you're seriously interested in great skin care, and you're willing to investigate the best way to keep your skin healthy and looking good.

But if you're currently asking yourself "what's the best skin care line" you're missing the most important question that you should be asking. You've got to remember the golden rule of skin care. Don't do your skin any harm.

Observing the golden rule can be more important than choosing the skin care line. Because no matter how good is that skin care line that you choose, there's a very good chance that your skin health is going backwards if you're ignoring the golden rule. Take some simple steps to make sure you're not doing your skin damage and you're way out in front, and may be doing your skin more good than using the best skin care products.

When I say don't harm your skin what do I mean by that? I mean that there are so many things that women do to their skin every day without even realizing the skin damage they are causing. Sunburn and smoking are 2 prime examples. Both smoking and sunburn are absolutely terrible for your skin.

Smoking damages your skin in multiple ways. For example it damages your circulatory system and so your blood doesn't circulate as well as it should. And like other parts of your body poor circulation damages your skin, because your skin relies on blood supply for great skin health.

And sunburn is no better. Sunburn damages your skin every time you get burned, and it has lasting effects.

And that's only the start. Here's another example that may really surprise you. There are big brand skin care products and cosmetics on the market that actually do damage to your skin. The reason is that the FDA has no brief to regulate what is put into cosmetics and skin care products, so the big companies can put about anything they want into the products, and they do. Mineral oil is a fine example, it's a petrochemical product that damages your skin but is very cheap to use. So it's in there.

And avoid some other things too, like big brand soaps, extremely long hot showers or baths, and chlorine in your water. Filter your water with a high quality water filter that operates on your shower water as well as your drinking water and remove the chlorine. And avoid that "exfoliation". That too can damage your skin if overdone.

By all means look for the best skin care line, using the best line of skin care products will do wonders for your skin, as long as you choose natural skin care products that don't damage your skin. But remember, you can undo all the good done by those skincare products by doing some of the things I've written about above. Choose the best skin care line, by all means, and use it religiously, but don't forget the golden rule.

Don't damage your skin. Ignore that golden rule at your peril. Then go find the best skin care line and use it.
