Skin Care For Wrinkles - What Are We Really Paying For?

By Tawanfa Farikan

There is so much hype regarding skin care for wrinkles that it is difficult to tell who is speaking the truth and who is selling you hype! However a general rule of thumb seems to be that a skin care product does not have to be the most expensive available for it to be the best.

This is because the money you pay for them does not go into additionally active ingredients being added into the products, it goes into the expensive research and advertising campaigns and this is all just hype, it is not about good skin care at all.

It is vital for all consumers to know that the more expensive a product is does not necessarily make it the best. I have tried so many expensive products and wondered why on earth I was not receiving the benefits they promised. Look at some of the stars they use to endorse these products, I can be pretty certain that they are being paid a high salary, but do they really use the products?

A good quality skin care product should be able to even discoloration caused by ageing, reduce the appearance of fine lines around the eyes, reduce bags under the eyes, smooth and firm the skin, and altogether make it appear and feel more youthful.

The problem lies in the fact that there are so many of these to choose from. So perhaps the educated consumer needs to know what to look for in skin care for wrinkles in order to be able to make the wisest purchase. A product which does what it claims to do is worth its weight in gold and will be able to eliminate years from your appearance.

The other option is cosmetic surgery. There is no doubt that this multi-billion dollar industry has it merits. But only for the people who are willing to risk dangerous surgery to achieve the results they want. I am not one of those people and there are many others like me in the world. - 30246
